Nurse's Guilty Plea Comes as Surprise

Article published in the Bucks County Courier Times, on October 7, 2009, page B6. Donna Hammerstone, a nurse, was pleaded guilty for a fraudulent action against an old man, who was suffering Alzheimer's disease. She was in a romantic relationship with the man; however, she was accepting monetary gifts, which in her profession was not ethical. This disease is a brain disorder, which causes memory lost; so she was grasping the oportunity to explote him financially. She pleaded guilty before the lawyers could make the cases, because they intended to call Hammerstone's two childrens, both minors, to testiy. She said she'd rather kill herself than put her kids through that.

I brought this article because I remember to read a paragraph on Chapter 9 about when somebody take advance on other knowing that the person lacks knowledge or mental ability to understand the words, actions and consequences from any agreement. or contract.

Anyway Hammertone took advantage of the man and use his money without permission to buy heating system for her home, fine chine, a gold diamond necklace, computers, Armani clothing etc..

That is amazing..............
