Honesty in Business

The Supreme Court may soon have more influence on how executives behave in business. I'm not too sure how this will play out but clarification on what is otherwise a vague law is necessary. It seems extreme to criminalize dishonest behavior from company executives but where do we draw the line when protecting the consumer and investor from dishonest practices? The article points out a great example of an executive who calls out sick to attend a baseball game. If that has a negative effect on business and therefore profits which directly affects an investor's wallet, should that be a criminal act?

A Question of When Dishonesty Becomes Criminal

  1. If the law on how executives behave is vague than it should be changed, since in recent events executives have stolen, manipulated and lied just to make a few extra dollars. But what will the Supreme Court really do to the law, don't big companies and executives back them at election time, so isn't that corruption?
