I can see why it would...when people need money desperately they go to gambling...Look at where most of the revnue comes from lottery tickets...elderly and inner city (those who don't have it)...makes perfect sense!
I think it's really disappointing that people would actually gamble away money(those that are not in the position to be gambling that is), which they don't have to begin with, in hopes of being one of the very few that win big. If you're already in a financially sticky situation why risk making it even worse for yourself and those affected by the decisions you make.
I agree with Tammy, eventhough it's not the right thing to when you don't have money, people are most likely becomming desperate at this point in time and taking what they have to gamble in hope of winning big.
i agree somwehat, but i dont understand really what the big deal is..its called we have choices in life, if peple want to gamble money then let it be, that is their loss..why should we have to spend the money and the time to worry about people gambling, we have bigger problems and bigger worries. i understand it becomes an addiction but people have to make their own choices and live their own lives and hopefully they will learn by their mistakes and if not then they have to suffer the consequences.
