"Squeeze More Hours out of Your Workday"

A good article highlighting four key points to focus on when trying to maximize things to get accomplished on a daily basis. It briefly goes over what I feel are typical things the average person overlooks as hindering necessary work from getting done. The first point made in the article is "always tackle your most important task first thing in the morning." This I feel would prove effective, due to its main objective--eradicating any underlying procrastination, which for me personally is a major hurdle to overcome, so this is definitely sound advice in my eyes. Another key point in this article is "penalties are more effective than rewards". The article suggests setting up a penalty for lateness, such as making a pact to do a chore you loathe, if you fail to deliver on a work obligation. I chose this article because it lists everyday things that affect the majority of people. And this hopefully serves as a reminder of the positive improvements we all can implement into our daily routine to improve our quality of life. ( Money Magazine, August 2009)

  1. What helps me is to make a list the night before. Prioritize my tasks to tackle the most pressing issues first so when the fires begin, lesser tasks can be easily pushed to the following day and the new priorities can be addressed.
