Judge Acquits Boy, 12, in Baby’s Murder, Says He Didn’t Intend to Kill

A judge in Georgia found a 12 year old boy not guilty of murdering his five week old cousin. The judge determined that the boy did not try to kill the girl he was simply unaware of how to care for the child and in his attempts to get the child to be quiet he accidentally killed her. I agree with the judge's ruling, a young boy probably unfamiliar with infant care should not have been left alone with the baby in the car. I fault the mother who left her infant in the car with the boy; I sincerely hope charges are being pressed against the mother.

  1. I'm glad to see the law did prosecute an innocent child. But I would like to see charges brought against the mother. The law should protect innocent children and make sure neglectful parents are punished.
