Home Depot and Martha Stewart

Home Depot to launch Martha Stewart paint line

By MAE ANDERSON AP Retail Writer

NEW YORK (AP) - The Home Depot Inc. says it will start selling Martha Stewart-branded paint and cleaning products next year in addition to the home decor and closet organization lines announced in September.

The nation's largest home improvement retailer says it will start selling the Martha Stewart cleaning products, home decor and closet organization lines in January. The Martha Stewart paint line will appear at Home Depot in March, replacing its line of Ralph Lauren paint.

The products are coming to Home Depot because Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc.'s deal with Sears Holdings Corp.'s Kmart ends in January.

Kmart stores began selling the Martha Stewart Everyday home line in 1997, but Sears and Martha Stewart did not extend the contract in October.

  1. I think its wrong for Home Depot to support Martha Stewart. She is so annoying and i wish she would go away.

  2. Just because you think Martha Stewart is annoying doesn't mean she hasn't built a fortress for herself. She knows how to market herself, and I think partnering with Home Depot will only strengthen her brand.

  3. I agree that Martha Stewart is really annoying but that doesn't have anything to do with this deal. I think her company is smart for making the move to Home Depot. This will probably give her brand a great boost!
