This article reminded me a little bit of our discussion about the liability of the corporation selling the cigarettes and accountability of the smoker. In this case they are marketing the benefits of using your cell phone in your car for things like GPS and traffic information, even when the stats show that cell phone use in the car is greatly increasing accidents. Organizations want the consumer to be warned with labels and other warning information. It's interesting to think about the responsibility of companies like Apple to warn us not to use their features while driving and the common sense we should be using to not use them if we want to not kill ourselves or someone else.

That si very interesting, considering they are currently passinf laws that ban the use of cell phones in your car but yet they offer every car compatibla feature such as the gps and so on. They not only promote the use of the cell phone in the car but then they create laws to ban these options as well..no wonder our world is so confused.
ReplyDeleteYea I think this is a little odd. Why do I have all types of different features on my phone that really only work in a car? I obviously would put them on my phone to use them in the car. And the fact that people are now getting tickets for having their phones out doesn't help this matter. I have a feeling something is going to happen between a customer, the law, and a phone company in the future.
