Beck under attack yet again.

Glenn beck is no stranger to the controversy that extends from his material. Usually, its brought about by comments or a furious debate that got out of hand, but this time it stems from endorsement. Beck has been openly endorsement the purchase of gold, more specifically from the precious metal company Goldline International, to have value invest in something that is inflation friendly and "in case of America's collapse".

The standard critics of Beck's show have made allegations of misleading his viewers for his own personal gain, despite the fact that Beck has stated hes only offering advertisement for something he believes in. Beck has always touted a system of three G's: " Gold, God, and Guns.", opting to create something he calls a "fruit cellar" in case the American government fails on some grand scale. He summed up his explanation with the statement,

"When the system eventually collapses, and the government comes with guns and confiscates, you know, everything in your home and all your possessions, and then you fight off the raving mad cannibalistic crowds that Ted Turner talked about, don't come crying to me. I told you: get gold."

This time, however, FOX has been drawn into the conflict, having stated they have a strict policy against on-air advertisements. Fox News senior vice-president for development Joel Cheatwood said in Beck's defense that "makes an exception for its commentators who are also radio hosts.",adding that FOX was well aware of his stance on Goldline before he was hired on to perform his program.

Beck's increasing amount of recorded gaffes in recent time has been causing FOX to have sponser drop their ads from the network, creating a rising tension between the network and the popular personality. At this rate, there maybe a time when FOX might call it quits with trying to regulate the programs content and have it canceled, most likely leading to him heading back to his old home on the radio, but only time will tell.
